Meet our new Head Chef
This is our new head chef Ben Vandenbrink; some of you may recognise him!!!
Ben joins us to head up the food and beverage team here at The Royal Kings Arms including our Brasserie restaurant, The Crypt our cocktail lounge and eaterie and our ever growing Wedding and Events departments. Ben brings his unique style of dining to our much loved city of Lancaster.
Ben previously ran and owned the kitchen of 18 North in Morecambe; he is set to provide a no fuss yet bespoke approach to our food that will undoubtedly get both guest and local taste buds tingling.
Having won Restaurant of the Year 2019 ,he the only Lancaster contestants to make it to Master Chef the Professionals Season in 2018 ,so you can rest assured that Ben brings a proven track record as an award winning chef to the city and will be offering his creative yet intimate dining experience in our beautiful Brasserie and chic Crypt.
The Brasserie Manager
This is Dean Wood our Brasserie restaurant manager.
Dean joined the Royal Kings Arms Hotel in February 2019 having worked in 4 star and 5 star establishments over 5 years in the Lake District. Dean has worked in the Hospitality industry for the past 17 years.
He has worked in some beautiful, high end establishments all over the UK where he has gained some amazing knowledge and experiences which he has introduced into the Brasserie to improve the level of service received by you, our wonderful guests.
Working closely with our Head Chef, Ben Vandenbrink, to introduce an elegant yet relaxed dining experience to Lancaster. He is excited to welcome you all to the new Brasserie restaurant.
